A family that will always be in my heart forever… A family that taught me how can I be more confident… A family that taught me to be successful even if I met a failure… This family is of course Amal Academy.

“Winning doesn’t always mean being first. Winning means you’re doing better than you’ve done before”

I joined the Amal fellowship (A Stanford University and PepsiCo supported 3-months online program to develop professional skills) because of my friend. Before starting I was very much confused and not even know its benefits. I was a very much shy person before joining Amal, Even when I received a first interview call from Amal Academy, I just wanted to end the call but then I didn’t do that and gave an interview and it was my best decision ever. ALHAMDULILLAH! I got selected.

Bunch of HAPPY People!

The whole fellowship was full of learning, Online Weekend Sessions, Online activities, Project Work, Courses, Fun elements, and games. Ah! “games”, Ma’am Zohra & Ma’am Hira asking us to bring a specific color around us. All courses were very informative in a new sense, many of the concepts and techniques I didn’t know before. Like I didn’t know about the Cover Letter and its impact on getting a job, and yes Pomodoro technique and Eisenhower Matrix was very informative.

I love their online activities and their feedback on every perspective. I loved that session very much where we were given a task with different kinds of shapes and we have to make a dog by using those shapes. It was really fun. I enjoyed it very much because it is a kind of brainstorming. One other thing that I loved is the Thank You email to your superior. I sent a Thank You email to my interviewer, alumni, and especially to my Amal facilitators. Even I got responses and I felt really overwhelmed after seeing their reply.

How is it?

Amal values which we learned during fellowship was, “the extra mile, honesty, growth, humility, acceptance, and responsibility”, all have equal importance. By applying all these values we can definitely become a successful person in life. You always have to go the extra mile in Amal. I wrote blogs first time in my life because of Amal. I could never think of myself as a writer but Amal made me be one.

My few Blogs 🥰

I am in the 3rd year of my degree. I was in serious need to know “How to make a CV?”, “How we can prepare for the interview?”. But after joining Amal at the right time taught (or I would say injected these skills in me) me all these important skills that how should I be with all these situations. I have learned business writing skills too.

These three months brought a lot of positive changes to me, and it was the best ever learning for me. I have become a Lifelong Learner.

Now fellowship is at its end and I’m missing all this already. I don’t want it to end. Their weekend sessions, fellow fellows, and especially our great Mentors, without them it was not possible. Its been an amazing journey with Amal Academy. They are our family now.

Amal Batch 168!

Shukriya! Amal Academy.
